<p><strong>What you’ll be able to do:</strong></p>
<p>• Develop first principles should cost tools together with other engineering colleagues to provide</p>
<p>grounds up physics based minimum system or part cost</p>
<p>• Enable enterprise level optimization by providing the powertrain optimization teams the above</p>
<p>code based should cost tools to be integrated into the optimization plan</p>
<p>• Develop unique prototype solutions that ensure sourcing leverage supports design lock and</p>
<p>production program timing</p>
<p>• Drive internal make vs buys studies with internal advanced manufacturing groups to ensure</p>
<p>optimum outcomes</p>
<p>• Work with ADVEV GSM partners to redefine the purchasing software and tools that are used to</p>
<p>manage suppliers, part revisions, requirements, documentation, agreements, etc.</p>
<p>• Identify and develop key commercial partnerships throughout all necessary levels of the supply</p>
<p>chain. The partnerships should allow Ford to enjoy cost leadership, supply in times of raw</p>
<p>material scarcity, geopolitical events risk mitigation , etc.</p>
<p>• Foster a collaborative costing culture both internally with Engineering and externally with</p>
<p>supplier partners. All stake holders should be supportive of the process and co-own delivery of</p>
<p>cost outcomes.</p>
<p>• Act as a liaison with engineering in releasing new products, collaborate in design reviews,</p>
<p>change control meeting, and other technical discussions to assess equipment needs and to</p>
<p>determine system requirements.</p>
<p>• Enable optimization across the enterprise by working with the engineering teams to</p>
<p>collaboratively drive strategic engineering choices that are informed by the current market</p>
<p>trends, material sourcing options and total vehicle system trade-offs.• Manage and resolve any supply disruptions into early protoype builds and ongoing vehicle production</p>
<p> </p><p><strong>Minimum requirements:</strong></p>
<p>• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field.</p>
<p>• 8+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management.</p>
<p>• Fundamental understanding of EV Powertrain concepts and commodities.</p>
<p>• Acute understanding of engineering concepts to better contribute to the overall Ford EV</p>
<p>strategy.</p>
<p>• Experience bringing creative negotiation skills and out of the box strategy.</p>
<p>• Knowledge of high-volume motor manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chains.</p>
<p>• Identify technically relevant supply chain funnels to support engineering deliverables.</p>
<p>• Strong relationship management skills with suppliers which include scorecards, issue resolution</p>
<p>and reviews.</p><p><strong>Preferred Requirements:</strong></p>
<p>• Master’s degree in engineering or related field.</p>
<p>• Hands-on experience building and launching highly effective supply chain methodology.</p>
<p>• An eagerness to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high</p>
<p>performing team.</p>
<p>• A system approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for</p>
<p>exceptional delivery execution and continuous improvement.</p>
<p>• Understand engineering fundamentals in the EV industry.</p>
