Introduction

We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer to join the engineering team in Vadodara, India. We deliver state of the art material processing equipement and offer upgrade & retrofit projects to our customer.

In this position, you will report to Manager/Deputy Manager of engineering team within the project delivery.

This position is mainly located in Vadodara, Gujarat, India and may require up to 10% travel.

Team you belong to

The candidate will be part of the Grinding Bulk Pyro Smelting (GBPS) Servies (SVS) Engineering Team based in Vadodara, Gujarat, supporting multiple Grinding projects.

What you’ll do

Responsible to work on Open Girth Gear & Pinion Engineering projects and provide on time quality deliverables.
Knowledge of Standards like AGMA/DIN for Open Gear System.
Work on Lubrication system, grease spray system and Temperature monitoring system for Open Gear System.
Prepare Mechanical 2D & 3D General arrangement drawings, Detail Drawing, Specification, procedures and as Built Drawing for Grinding equipment such as Horizontal and Vertical Grinding mills to refurbish, upgrade, or retrofit.
Detail drawing review, BOM preparation, Engineering project proposal study.
Update formal engineering specifications for equipment or parts.
Digitalization of existing drawing and updating standards/specifications to.
Provide technical support to local and global stakeholders
Apply mechanical engineering knowledge, principles, and best practices to meet customer requirements and specifications.
Perform calculations to ensure safe function of equipment for refurbishment, upgrade, or retrofit.
Utilize Operational Engineering standards, workflow processes, and software to facilitate timely, accurate engineering data and drawings.
Show a commitment to quality, ethics, safety and commitment to meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
Maintain positive and professional attitude and work as a member of a global team.
Undertake duties as may be assigned by the Engineering Manager or Lead Engineers.
Collaborate and partner with internal departments including Sales, Project Management, Field Service, Proposal Management, Procurement/Purchasing, Logistics, Legal, IT, Finance and Human Resources.
Travel may be required as and when needed, including both domestically and internationally.
Performs other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.
Create and collate operation and maintenance manuals as per project requirement.
Proficient in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for components.

Experience:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of experience / Degree of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of experience
Competent with 2D CAD and 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD Mechanical & others as required)
Applicants with relevant experience of minimum 3+ years in the Horizontal and Vertical Grinding mill products from reputed companies would be preferred.
Competent with Engineering and ERP systems (Vault EDM, SAP, Enovia & others as required)
Working knowledge of MS Office products.
Knowledge of KISS Soft will be an added advantage.
Experience with mining and construction Equipment Design.
Experience in Design and Services of Equipment like Grinding mills, Vert mills.
Experience in project involving component upgrade and retrofits.
Knowledge of Rubber manufacturing and Casting manufacturing Process will be an added advantage.
Experience in Heavy Engineering Fabrication, Casting and Machining Drawings

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Knowledge of Major Gear Manufacturing processes like Hobbing, Shaping, Shaving, Grinding, and Honing.
Knowledge of all Quality parameters of Gears as per Latest AGMA standards.
Hand on experience of heavy fabrication design standard and drawing standards.
Knowledge of Lubrication system, grease spray system and Temperature monitoring system required.
Hands on experience in 2D & 3D drafting and Solid modelling is preferred.
Working knowledge on Inventor, Autodesk PDM Vault Solutions SAP is a must have etc.
Hand on experience on GD&T, welding and Machining symbols.
Good Communication Skills (in Global Environment)
Good interpersonal skills, Well Organized and Capable to work without supervision.
