The Pricing Analyst, Finished Lubricants will analyze pricing data and implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability, often engaging and collaborating with the Sales and Business Development organizations. Also developing and maintaining pricing models that accurately reflect cost changes and market conditions as well as evaluating the impact of pricing decisions on overall profitability. The Pricing Analyst will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of the pricing process and supporting systems and applications.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Generating volume and margin analysis for the Sales organization using SAP, Lubes Pricing System (LPS), and other related systems and tools.
- Developing price performance analysis and metrics including price realization and margin driver analysis
- Updating and validating standard and custom index pricing models on a recurring basis.
- Partnering with IT to develop reports and dashboards related to sales, volume, margin, price performance, and costing.
- Troubleshooting and resolving pricing or costing issues that impact the order-to-cash process as needed,
- Providing recurring updates on cost drivers for Finished Lubricants including Base Oils, Additives, Packaging, and Transportation.
- Providing analysis support to evaluate new business opportunities and contract negotiations.
- Training or onboarding new Account Managers on Pricing tools and processes.
- Executing special projects as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 or more years of experience in a Sales/Business support or financial role
- Intermediate to advance level proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
- Strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to work independently under time constraints
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field—business, finance, economics, mathematics
- Knowledge of pricing strategies and market dynamics
- Advanced-level Excel skills
- Proficient in Tableau, Power BI, SAP/BI—must be willing to learn if not
- Working knowledge of Business IT systems such as Pricing Systems and CRM
