To enhance Panama's IT organization, we are seeking a Senior Business Analyst for our IT Technical & Production Department. This role is part of the IT Manufacturing, Digital & Analytics Solutions LATAM Team, primarily focusing on the Central America Region. It also includes the entire LATAM region, encompassing Mexico, the Caribbean Islands, and South America, covering approximately 60 factories. The main objective of this position is to align our Manufacturing, Digital, and Analytics solutions with the local market and business needs.
As a member of the Manufacturing, Digital, and Analytics Product Team, you will provide deep insights into the opportunities and challenges faced by these markets and businesses, offering advice on optimal solutions. You will convert business strategies, opportunities, risks, and needs into IS/IT product requirements and play an essential role in the product team by helping to specify, test, and deploy these as IS/IT solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate functional requirements, write detailed specifications, coordinate with both onshore and offshore developers, test scenarios, and create prototypes for Manufacturing projects and initiatives.
- Identify, develop, test, and implement modifications to existing systems in order to ensure compliance, enhance performance, and improve usability.
- Support the deployment of Technical & Production products in factories located in Central America and Caribbean.
- Collaborate with IT support teams to determine the best methods for deploying T&P-MFG products in these factories.
- Act as a second-level support for manufacturing solutions by analyzing and resolving incidents, driving root cause analysis, and implementing permanent fixes aimed at continuous improvement.
- Assist with the onboarding and training of new team members.
- Ensure that Product/Product Group Managers and Business/Functional Relationship Managers are supported in strategizing through incremental product improvements.
- Guarantee that program development, logic, process flows, and specifications are analyzed, documented, and tested prior to implementation.
- Document training materials for the Product Group area and oversee the delivery of training to end users, deployment, and support teams.
- Provide support in the analysis and resolution of solution issues as part of second-level sustain activities.
- Consult with the stream lead to define the minimum viable product (MVP) that meets business needs.
- Coach, motivate and direct staff belonging to various organizations (business and IS/IT) to understand the business needs and find the best solution that will both align with the customer objectives and the IS/IT strategy
- Partner with business and IS/IT to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements, pain points or opportunities into IS/IT requirements
- Partner with the FRM and Stream Lead to facilitate both strategy and innovation planning with business stakeholders
- Consult with Product Group teams and proposes alternative solutions
Required Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, sciences, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent. Fluent in English and Spanish, both spoken and written. A minimum of three years of experience in implementing SAP PP-PI and SAP-MII.
- Expertise in the technical architecture and installation of MII environments, as well as collaborating with SAP Basis, Security, and other teams managing servers and operating systems.
- Knowledge of integration with MES systems and the factory automation layer, including Automation Control Systems, SCADA, and real-time Historians is highly valued.
- Master data management for manufacturing.
- Integration with shop floor applications like MES via SAP MII and S95 messages. Integration with SAP QM, Demand Supply Planning, and Physical Logistics. Knowledge of integration points with SAP BO/BW and PBI reporting is essential.
- Expertise in configuring, implementing best practices, and being aware of the latest functionalities available (like Fiori, Personas, etc.) is required.
- Demonstrated functional knowledge of Manufacturing Performance Management and its application in factories using SAP OEE is necessary.
- Familiarity with MS Power-BI and SAP BO reporting tools is advantageous.
- Understanding of basic system engineering principles, information risk and security guidelines, and architectural standards is important. Familiarity with modeling techniques is also required.
- Understanding of project management methodologies (such as Agile, Waterfall) is essential.
- Capability to comprehend business processes and translate them into application requirements is needed.
- Effective communication skills across various levels within the organization are a must.
